Rosa Caponetto was born in Catania (Italy). She is associate professor in “Production of building construction” in the University of Catania. She taught for many years “Techniques for building restoration” and now teaches “Building Process Management”.

She is also Scientific Director of the “Techniques for building construction Laboratory” (LaTPrE). She is member of the National Laboratory “Smart Cities & Communities” of CINI (National Inter-University Consortium for Informatics).

She is member of the Scientific Board of the publishing house “MALCOR D’Edizione” (section “architecture and urban planning”) and member of the Referee Committee of the journal “Scienze e Ricerche” (Science and research).

Her main research topics are: history of construction, building restoration and refurbishment, durability, building sustainability, natural building materials.
